Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre, Cwmbran

Gallery in a Box is a small “mobile gallery” which aims to engage with schools, community groups and outside events, bringing the work of contemporary artists to those who cannot visit a gallery.

The box itself and the work inside was commissioned from twelve artists based in Wales. This gallery on wheels is easily transportable and contains a diverse range of disciplines and styles and includes paintings, metalwork, ceramics, jewellery and textile art. There is information and short films on all the artists which can be viewed via ipads included in the box (or via disk or memory stick to be put on a larger screen).
